Arc Flash
Arc flash happens in an instant, subjecting workers to blinding light, molten metal, and temperatures four times hotter than the surface of the sun. That level of risk requires self-extinguishing PPE that won’t ignite, melt, or burn the skin.

How We Meet Standards
ASTM F1506
The standard performance specification for flame-resistant and electric arc-rated protective clothing worn by workers potentially exposed to an electric arc flash and related thermal hazards.
NFPA 70E
Establishes safe work practices to protect employees from electrical hazards by providing guidance on hazard risk assessments, energized work procedures and the selection of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
ASTM F1959
The standard test method used to determine the arc rating (ATPV or EBT) of flame resistant textiles and fabric systems.
IEC 61482-1-2
The international test method used to determine and assign the Arc Protection Classes (APC 1 or APC 2) of protective textiles when exposed to a constrained (box) arc flash.
